I was on a project in Lima, Peru. My first day at the location the front of the building was a mass of construction. Everything was by hand. This fellow was digging a very deep hole for what was to be an underground equipment room. In the US they would have backhoes and bulldozer to dig this out. In Peru it was by hand.
